LABORATORY OF APICOMPLEXAN BIOLOGY

Our Lab focuses on understanding molecular aspects governing the fundamental biology of the parasite Toxoplasma gondii, a leading global cause of mortality and morbidity in immunocompromised individuals and unborn children, and of abortion in sheep. We use pioneer molecular genetics and advanced microscopy, and lead a range of interdisciplinary efforts to advance needed translation towards drugs and vaccines.
